McIntosh Apple

• This well-known variety was discovered as a chance seedling by John McIntosh in 1811.
• McIntosh apples are aromatic, juicy, sweet and tangy-tart. McIntosh has a tender white flesh and its skin has a deep red finish that sometimes carries a green blush.
• McIntosh is great for eating out of hand, it might be best know for applesauce, but many enjoy it’s tart flavor in pies as well.
  (Cook´s hint: McIntosh´s flesh cooks down easily; if baking a pie, cut slices thick or add a thickener)
• We’re proud of our McIntosh. They’re grown in a colder region, where they grow best, in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State!
